The world of comedy is a misogynistic battleground for women. It's truly the survival of the fittest in the male dominated world of comedy. Women like Rachel Feinstein are tearing down the glass ceiling and paving the way for younger generations of women to penetrate the industry more smoothly.
Rachel is a fixture on the comedy scene for good reason. She got her start as young kid opening for her father's blues band and doing impressions of various loud and jarring relatives. A nationally touring comedian and actress, D.C. area native Rachel Feinstein is known for her ability to morph into any ethnicity and even cross gender to skewer issues of race, class, and pop culture. Huffington Post called her, “The only comedian we've seen who can go from bodying her grandmother in one breath and a predatory guy on the street in the next and be equally convincing at both.”
