10 Questions with Carli Longoni

1-I’m from a province in northern Argentina called Chaco. To me, being home means being close to the people I love — and believe me, they live all over the place. So it’s hard to call just one place “home.” But right now, I’d say home is Florida, because that’s where I spend most of my time.

2-Since I was a child, I’ve always loved music and the arts. My mom says I used to spend my days dancing, dressing up, and putting on little shows. When she noticed that, she decided to enroll me in a ballet institute where I also learned piano and painting. During my teenage years, I took acting classes as well. But it was when I moved to the United States that I decided to take my music career seriously, releasing my first single titled "U". Since then, my love for music has only grown stronger every day.

3-My earliest memory with music is being at my grandparents’ house and hearing tango playing on the radio in the morning. I remember my grandmother singing along to the tango while heating up water for mate.

4-My music is inspired by life experiences — both the good and the difficult ones. Writing and singing helps me process and heal, and I’ve found that it can also bring comfort to others who might be going through something similar. That connection is what truly drives me.

5-Right now, I’m working on a project that dives into cumbia and blends it with other genres and sounds — I love exploring those unexpected combinations. On October 30, 2024, I released my first album, Yo Soy, which is a reflection of that exploration. It’s full of different rhythms and textures that represent who I am and the journey I’m on as an artist.

6-My dream collaboration would be with Christina Aguilera and Karol G.

7-I would describe my personal style as authentic, visually powerful, and conceptually fresh.

8-It’s hard to choose just one favorite artist right now. I really like Christina Aguilera, Karol G, Bad Bunny, Luis Miguel, Elvis Presley, and I could keep going. Each artist has a unique essence and artistry that makes them special and wonderful.

9-One of the people I admire the most and who truly inspired me to get into music is Christina Aguilera. Ever since I was little, I was struck by her voice—its power, its emotion, its incredible range. There’s something about the way she sings that feels not just technically brilliant but deeply embodied.
She made me realize that the voice isn’t just an instrument for sounding pretty—it’s a way to express what you truly feel. Her performances taught me that vulnerability and strength can live in the same note. Even though I’ve developed my own style over time, her influence is still there, as a reminder of what it means to sing with everything you’ve got.
10-You can listen to my music everywhere — it’s on all the major platforms. Just look for me, Carli Longoni, on Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. You can also find my website under the same name, Carli Longoni. I’d love for you to check it out and connect with me there!
